Phil Stolberg named BDI’s Chief Operating Officer
Phil Stolberg, BDI’s former Executive VP/General Manager, recently assumed a new role as BDI’s Chief Operating Officer (COO).
As a chief executive, Phil will continue to be responsible for internal and external business relationships, contracts and policies. His responsibilities include defining agency strategies and goals, as well as implementing systems and processes.
He will also provide leadership for BDI’s Creative, Digital, Human Resources, Finance, Project Management, Data and Analytics, Production and Administrative teams.
Phil has served, and continues to serve, on a number of boards addressing the business needs of nonprofit organizations.
Over a marketing and communications career spanning 40 years, Phil has worked almost exclusively with not-for-profit organizations. He’s held a variety of leadership positions, both with nonprofit organizations and with agencies that consult in the nonprofit world, allowing him extensive experience with marketing, major donor and capital campaigns, special events and foundation fundraising.
Michael “MT” Tomlinson, BDI’s CEO and President, notes that Phil is a tremendous example of someone who is all-in on BDI’s mission of releasing generosity to a hurting world – and it shows in Phil’s work ethic, leadership and wisdom to the benefit of the company.
“Phil has proven over time and during seasons of significant change and transition that he can lead the successful operations of the agency,” MT says, “and do so with integrity, humility, humor, and heart.”
