GET YOUR BEST VIDEO OUT THERE

Post a video on YouTube or GodTube of previous Thanksgiving dinners so potential volunteers get a feel for what goes on during your event.

If you don’t have appropriate video to post at this time, make sure to schedule someone to shoot video at your 2016 event.

Or video an interview with a volunteer who has served the holiday meal for a number of years and use the video to promote assistance before, during and after your Thanksgiving event.

SET UP A REPORTER RIDE-ALONG

Invite a reporter to ride along with your volunteers/staff to deliver or distribute meals to the elderly, shut-ins or low-income families.

CONNECT WITH NEW VOLUNTEERS

Increase interest in and awareness of your volunteer opportunities by registering your organization on VolunteerMatch.

This unique website attracts thousands of individuals looking to “give back” every day, and has connected nearly 11.5 million good people with good causes since 1998.

The site also offers a variety of tools and services to help your organization recruit new volunteers, manage them effectively and become a great place to volunteer.

It’s as simple as logging on to VolunteerMatch and creating a profile with information about your organization and volunteer needs. The process takes less than 15 minutes – and best of all, it’s free!
