Sneak Peek: BDI at 2017 Bridge Conference
Which BDI staff favorite is speaking at this year’s Bridge Conference?
His presentation, “Lights, Camera, Transaction: What Fundraising Can Learn from Hollywood,” is a deep dive into winning Hollywood strategies using examples from famous films.
Matt, a veteran of both writing and producing in Hollywood and creating for numerous nonprofits and major brands, will be bringing his experience and some practical hands-on techniques that will work for any size organization.
Come watch clips of award-winning films like Lord of the Rings, Good Will Hunting and Vertigo and learn how tried and true Hollywood storytelling can break through the clutter of the daily barrage of content and supercharge your nonprofit’s donor base, getting them involved, responding and most importantly, giving.
Matt will be joined by Wheeler Mission’s Chief Development Officer Steve Kerr, who has headed up Wheeler’s fundraising for 24 years, including a $6 million capital campaign to rebuild their downtown men’s shelter. He’s also the founder of the Drumstick Dash, a Thanksgiving Day run/walk that’s grown 1,300% in its 14 year existence. Steve will share how using these communication techniques with Wheeler’s donors has led to great successes in fundraising.
